11 weeks and 6 days old!

I can't believe Kelso is going to be 3 months on Friday!!! I know for my friends/readers that don't have children this doesn't seem like a big deal but WHOA is it. The 3 month mark seems huge because he's turning into a little human... a whole quarter of a year old and for me, the baby fog is clearing. There is no other way to describe my mental state in the first 3 months besides foggy and surreal. The sleepless nights, diaper changes, feedings, spit-up, laundry and the day to day stuff makes it all a blurr, but now we're finally getting a little bit of a schedule. Kelso is sleeping a  6-7 hour stretch at night, he knows his bed time routine and he will officially let me set him down for 5-20 minutes at a time. That sounds like nothing but for us that's HUGE.

It is mind blowing how much a he has changed in 3 months. He entered in the world weighting 8.6 oz.. as of two days ago he was 16.1lbs. I don't know how long he is now but I can tell you he's in 6 month old clothing and when I feed him he his legs easily kick someone sitting next to me. Kelso now has head control, loves to watch things, smiles, coos, grunts, bears weight on his legs with Mod A, knows who we are, knows our voices, loves tummy time and bath time, tracks people/objects with his eyes, makes spit bubbles, sucks on his fingers and hand, occasionally bats at toys and loves to be sung to. Did I mention so far he has an affinity for his using his left hand to bat and hold on to things? I know it's too early but he seems like he may be a lefty. ;)  As for rolling over, not yet but he does do mini push-ups and rocks back and forth on his belly, which I find adorable.  Now if we can just get rid of his reflux, afternoon colic and get some nap time during the day....

Anyway, happy 3 months of life little guy! You amaze me and I love you more than I thought possible. As a very smart lady at church told me her mom had told her, You think you know what love is but just wait until you see your baby for the first time. They are so right... oh and in case any of you are curious you really can tell your babies cry from someone another babies.
