Being sick sucks!

We all knew this was coming... I've basically been not sick but not well for over 3 week. My body gave up this week. I think the allergy shots really did me in. I know that the allergy nurse disagres... but F*$& her she gave me one of my allergy shots in the muscle. Yep, hurts like hell and increased the possibility of anaphylaxis. It literally takes an extra second to be sure that doesn't happen but no.. they're too busy pretending I'm making shit up to care.

So remember 3 weeks ago I had UTI symptoms. I went to the dr. and he gave me a medication that gave me my 1st panic attack in months. So I finsihed it.. didn't really think my UTI was go but sucked it up and kept forcing fluids. So that brings me to Nov. 6th when I started having symptoms again in the mornings. Back to the dr. on the 10th. This time he does a culture and sensitivity so I decide to try and wait for it to come back..... BIG mistake by Friday I was in agony. I almost skipped fieldwork, but I took my new antibiotic, chugged a ton of cranberry juice and pushed through. At that point I just felt crappy all over but I thought I was doing better. That is until Sunday night when my sinuses start acting up. I got to bed early and hoped for the best.

Monday...... shit..... I'm sick. Sore throat, green snot, generally cold, swollen glands, feeling bad all over and painful pee again. I called the Dr. but they couldn't get me in until the today. So I pushed through work and then get in bed. My dad spent the day scheudling his surgery. It's on for Thursday.

After 10 hours of sleep, half day of work, 3 allergy shots, a strep test and another pee in the cup... the Dr. confirmed I still have a UTI and now a sinus infection.  Interestingly the culture came back with something I had never heard of, Citrobacter Koseri. Sounds kinda serious. Oh well lets hope the next culture comes back normal. I started a new antibiotic and here I lie in the bed. I need to do some work but I really don't feel like it.

Now for all you know-it-alls who think I must be dirty or whatever because I can't get rid of this UTI let me just say I do all I can to prevent them. I shower daily, always shower before sex, pee before and after sex, I wipe from front to back, I don't use perfumes or lotions and I pretty much only drink water. Not much else I can do. Sometimes things just happen and this goes back to my idea that my immune system is compromised by these damn allergy shots.

Yep so that's it..... I'm done bitching. I'm going to try and get some rest. I still have to somehow make it through 3 more working days, write up that eval I did on Monday and see my dad through surgery on Thursday. I guess I should just be happy that it is not strep and I don't have sepsis yet. :)
