Neglected Written Reflections

It's been too long since I've blogged. It isn't because I'm not reflecting or not busy... really it is quite the opposite. I've been soo busy and sick since 2/12 I've hardly had a second to myself.

I have been practically killing myself to get this residency done. I know it's silly but the sooner I finish it the sooner I can relax and study for my boards. I'm still doing 50+ hours a week which doesn't leave much time for fun. I'm not sure if any ofyou also have been following my Users First blog but that is where I will go into great detail about what I've been experiencing residency wise.

Lets see, what have I been up to?

• I went to Julie's b-day party at Ru Sans. It was fabulous.
• I went to the ballet for my b-day celebration and my friends spoiled me. I've yet to write thank you's but it is on my list of to dos.
• I went to DC with Users First and Permobil. It was an incredible experience.
• We introduced a proposed bill to carve out complex rehab giving complex rehab unique hcpcs codes.
• Jason got teacher of the year for his school and then for Giles County. Next step is regional’s...
• I'm super fired up about the loss of funding for planned parenthood.
• I registred for the AOTA conference in April and can't wait.
• I registered for an NBCOT preparation class. Expensive but hopefully worth it.
• I'm super behind in preparation for my PAMS class...
• I've got my dates set for FL but I haven't gotten my hotel yet. I am thinking by the end of this week everything will be set.
• Music is slowly returning back to my life. I'm enjoying it, just need to spend more time finding new stuff. :)
• I've been super teenage angsty lately and in a way I think it's been good for me to just say "fuck you" and do my own thing.
• ISS was this week and it was crazy... I feel really lucky that I've had the opportunity to be part of it and to network.
• I had an awesome time at the Permobil house party... I saw Mini Kiss. :)
• I've been really negative about everything lately and have most likely been complaining about it to you but in the end everything will be just find.
• I love having an iphone but I still have issues with autocorrect.

What is still to come?

• I've got tons of members to input into the UFA computer.
• 114 hours more of residency
• I've got to find a job....
• I've got to schedule a job interview that I got a call about late last week.
• I'm hoping Jason and I can meet up with an old friend next weekend.
• I've got to get my portfolio together for April 7.
• I've got to get my teaching skills up for April 8 when I teach Nashville State's OTA class.
• I need to make an appointment with a dermatologist.
and on and on...

As this week comes to an end, I'm thankful for all my friends and support. I am almost being with residency and then I get to start prepping for graduation. :)
